Winter whispers

Now that we’re through fall, it’s impossible not to start thinking winter. When the stores are featuring Christmas stock that is already overwhelming Halloween, you know that snow and weather changes are inevitable. What’s a dog owner to do? Here’s my advice on how to start stocking up on what really counts: dog gear!

  • Check your supply of paw wax. Salts, street yuck and ice can damage your dog’s paws in winter. I recommend Musher’s Secret. In fact I highly recommend it! This is the ultimate paw wax for my husky/pomeranian dogs.

  • Have a close inspection of collars and leashes. Survival is questionable if your dog is lost. Make sure everything is secure, with current information on tags. Lately I’ve been loving my Roamer bungee dog leash from Ruffwear. Also check out my local friends at Summit Dog Wear for colorful, quality handmade collars and leashes.

  • Shop for cute Christmas dog toys. OK, we all do it, and there are some really adorable things coming in right now. Have you seen the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer line?

Have you been thinking of gifting (or having your own) photo session? Watch for my Christmas promo coming soon.
