spring, summer, fall and winter
dog photo gallery
In Calgary, dog owners enjoy all four seasons of nature. Usually you and your dog prefer one or two seasons more than the others. Here’s a gallery of client dogs that are enjoying their favorite season during a Bark to Nature Photo Session.
Winter.
Double-coated breeds are obsessed with snow. Welcome, winter, says the sled dog. Although the temperatures vary from melting to downright brutal, we bring those cute small dog jackets with adorable booties and head out. Snow and ice display a range of blues that we marvel at.

Spring.
We welcome the fresh buds of green, emerging pastel flowers and nature awakenings. Melting in the mountains means glacial flower adding turquoise to our waters. Dogs are super bouncy during the cool temperatures of spring and we’re so glad that winter is over.

Hot weather and tall emerald green grass. Lots of sunshine. Free spirits. Lakes and rivers become a refuge from the heat. Who can pass up a creek romp or a pond swim? Water-loving breeds thrive during summer, with adventures aplenty. Long days = more time to photograph all dog breeds!
Summer.

Fall. Or Autumn.
Orange, yellows, reds, pumpkins…when the leaves start to show the colors they’ve been hiding behind the green, it’s time for a fall session. Timing with this season is a bit tricky, though, because this is our shortest season in Calgary (due to the mountain influence). Dogs enjoy the cooler temperatures and the background splendour is worth the wait. Photoshoots are incredible.
